Tickets now on sale for fourth annual ‘NASCAR After The Lap’; Sweepstakes offered

NASCAR announced that tickets go on sale today for the 2012 NASCAR After The Lap sponsored by Ford and Coca-Cola. Returning to Las Vegas for its fourth consecutive year, NASCAR After The Lap will take place on November 29 at 5p.m. PT at PH Live at Planet Hollywood.

Fans in attendance will interact with the top-12 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers, resulting in unfiltered answers and unpredictable antics. Last year, 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion™ Tony Stewart drove his car into the venue, which set the tone for the event’s highlight: Jeff Gordon’s rousing break dancing performance that took the audience by surprise and ignited dialogue across the digital and social space.

In conjunction with the launch of ticket sales, the “NASCAR After The Lap” sweepstakes begins today. One lucky fan will win a grand prize package that includes a 2013 Ford F-150 FX4 truck, round trip air fare for two to Las Vegas, two nights at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and two VIP tickets to NASCAR After The Lap.

To purchase tickets and enter the “NASCAR After The Lap” Sweepstakes, fans can visit www.NASCARafterthelap.com. Indianapolis Motor Speedway offers Kentucky Speedway ticket redemption

Hope you kept your ticket/ticket stubs from Kentucky. Fans can redeem their Kentucky Sprint Cup race tickets for the following promotion July 29-30 at Gates 3, 6, 9 and 10A. Kentucky race tickets also can be redeemed at the ticket office in the IMS Administration Building on the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street, just outside Turn 1 of the famous oval.

PROMOTION:

Fans who present a ticket from the July 9th Kentucky Sprint Cup race at the IMS Ticket Office or remote ticket locations, will receive one free admission to Brickyard 400 practice Friday, July 29 or will be admitted to Brickyard 400 qualifying on Saturday, July 30 for just $5.

Inaugural Brickfest will roar to life from 10 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, including a practice session featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and the Brickyard 400 qualifying which will take place from 2:10-4:30 p.m.. Immediately following the conclusion of qualifying, will be Hinder  in concert on the main stage in the IMS infield.

Those ticket holders can also park for FREE, Friday and Saturday at IMS Lots 1, 2 and 3, conveniently located on the south, west and north sides of the facility. The regular price is $10 per day to park in those lots.

Dover International Speedway introduces ‘Refer-A-Friend Ticket Rebate Program’

DOVER, Del. – Dover International Speedway has introduced a new Refer-A-Friend ticket rebate program that will allow current ticket holders, and new fans, to each save $ 20 per ticket on their purchase for the Oct. 2, 2011 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

The one-time program provides existing customers with a unique redemption code that can be shared with their friends. If their friends use the code to purchase tickets, the original customer will receive a $ 20 rebate for each ticket purchased, up to the number of tickets on their account. For example, if that customer’s friend purchases four adult tickets using the code, the original customer is eligible for a maximum rebate of $ 80.

If the friend of the original customer purchases an $ 84 ticket in the North or South grandstands, rows 1-30, that friend will receive a $ 20 savings on their purchase for each ticket they buy. If the friend wants to purchase in another section, they will not be eligible to take advantage of the offer; however, the original customer will still receive their $ 20 rebate if the redemption code is used.

Rebate checks for customers who take advantage of this program will be mailed with their fall 2012 renewal packages in late September 2011.

The Refer-A-Friend program is not eligible to customers with $ 55 tickets. However, those customers can pay an additional $ 9 for a total of $ 64, and be upgraded into an $ 84 seat. The $ 9 upgrade would put those customers in a great seat in the turns at Dover International Speedway for Chase race No. 3 on Oct. 2.

Christian Slater will be Grand Marshal for Auto Club 400

Actor Christian Slater, star of the upcoming FOX comedy “Breaking In”, will serve as Grand Marshal for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup race – the Auto Club 400 – at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 27.

As Grand Marshal, Slater will give the command, “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines,” to the 43-car field of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.  The event will be televised at noon on FOX.

What to watch for:

Passing up front was high at Auto Club Speedway. In the February event, there were 35 green flag passes for the lead all around the track. In October, there were 30. Combined, there were 65 green flag passes for the lead last season at Auto Club Speedway, the highest two-race total since NASCAR started taking passing stats in 2005.

The 2011 NASCAR Pit Crew Challenge is May 19 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte.

Tickets for the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Pit Crew Challenge presented by Craftsman, featuring a family-friendly, pit-crew competition between the top-24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pit crews, are on now on sale starting March 23. Tickets may be purchased online at www.pitcrewchallenge.com  or by calling Time Warner Cable Arena box office at (800) 745-3000 with prices starting at $15. Tickets for children two to 12 cost $7.50 each.

The NASCAR Sprint Pit Crew Challenge presented by Craftsman will take place Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m. EDT at Time Warner Cable Arena and will air on SPEED at 8 p.m. EDT that evening.

Kicking off NASCAR Sprint All-Star WeekTM will be the third annual NASCAR Rev’d Up, a free concert and festival featuring top musical talent and interactive displays held in downtown Charlotte, N.C., on May 18.

NASCAR fans can use PAYPAL online at ISC ticketing websites

International Speedway Corporation (“ISC”) announced that it will now offer PayPal payments to fans on its ticket sales websites for its 13 major motorsports facilities including Daytona International Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway and Martinsville Speedway. Also, adding a new chat feature, fans can communicate directly with a live ticket agent who can answer questions and provide information to help with the buying process.

The PayPal payment solution will be available for online ticket purchases for Michigan International Speedway and Daytona International Speedway, and will then extend to all ISC facilities over the next week.  The chat feature is currently live for Daytona International Speedway and Auto Club Speedway and will be available on the ticketing websites for all of ISC’s 13 motorsports facilities by the end of March.
